You play your recorded greetings and name from this page. You also choose which greeting you want to play to your callers.
Tip: You record your name and greetings from a phone. Log in to your Voicemail inbox, then select voicemail options, or review this quick reference guide.
If you have a voicemail inbox, the default greeting your callers will hear is "The owner of extension (your extension number or user ID) is not available."
You can replace this default greeting by recording:
Your name. The greeting that plays is "(your recorded name) is not available"
A personal greeting. You can record three different personal greetings, and select which one to make active.
You record your name and personal greetings on a phone: log in to voicemail, then press 5 for voicemail options.
To play a greeting or your name:
Under the Voicemail Preferences menu at the left of the page, click Manage Greetings.
Click in the Play column of the greeting you want.
The PC's default media player starts and the greeting plays.
Tip: Your PC must be enabled for sound, with your speakers on or a headset plugged in, for a greeting to play.
To choose the greeting to play to your callers:
Under the Voicemail Preferences menu at the left of the page, click Manage Greetings.
From the Change Active Greeting drop-down list, select the greeting you want to play to all callers.
Click Save.
Tip: When you record and save a greeting, it becomes your active greeting automatically.
