Anatomy of a Window

All Oroborus windows have the same layout which consists of a window frame, two buttons and a resizer. The left-most button is the hide button and the right-most button is the close button. The resizer is located at the bottom right-hand corner of the window.

Mouse Control

Most of the window manipulation can be done through use of the mouse. The following is a list of the available mouse functions.

Left Click Frame
Raise and focus window.

Left Click Drag Frame
Move window.

Left Click Drag Resizer
Resize window.

Double Left Click Frame
Toggle window maximized/unmaximized.

Alt+Left Click Frame
Raise window layer.

Ctrl+Alt+Left Click Drag Anywhere
Move window.

Middle Click Frame
Toggle window shaded/unshaded.

Ctrl+Alt+Middle Click Drag Anywhere
Resize window.

Right Click Frame
Send window to back of current layer.

Alt+Right Click Frame
Lower window layer.

Ctrl+Alt+Right Click Anywhere
Send window to back of current layer.

Keyboard Control

It is also possible to control Oroborus through the use of the keyboard. Everything you can do with the mouse you can do with the keyboard. The following is a list of the available keyboard functions.

Ctrl+Alt+Cursor Keys
Move window.

Shift+Alt+Cursor Keys
Resize window.

Alt+F1
Hide window.

Alt+F2
Toggle window maximized/unmaximized.

Alt+F3
Toggle window sticky/unsticky.

Alt+F4
Close window.

Alt+Space
Toggle window shaded/unshaded.

Alt+Tab
Switch to next window on the current workspace.

Shift+Alt+Tab
Switch to previous window on the current workspace.

Alt+End
Switch to next workspace.

Alt+Home
Switch to previous workspace.

Alt+Insert
Add a new workspace after last one.

Alt+Delete
Delete last workspace.

Ctrl+Alt+End
Move window to next workspace.

Ctrl+Alt+Home
Move window to previous workspace.

You can also change the key bindings for the different functions in the user configuration file (see Configuring Oroborus).
