Batch Effects
One of the options available through the right-click menu is "Batch effects".
This allows you to select multiple files and do things like add your website
location or scale their sizes automatically instead of opening each image
individually. To use them simply select all the images you wish to apply the
effect to, use either the right mouse button or the Edit menu to get to the
"Batch Effects" menu, then select the effect you wish to apply. These include:
Transform Effects
- Scale to max size...
A feature oriented towards webmasters, this option scales down all the
selected images to a maximum width and height. If the image is already less
than or equal to the requested size it is unaffected. Also note that the
aspect ratio of all the images is retained, the "Maintain aspect ratio"
checkbox on this dialog is only used when selecting the maximum size.
The Scale image dialog
- Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical
This flips the image horizontally or vertically
- Rotate 90, 180, or 270 degrees
Rotates the image by the specified degrees.
Enhance Effects
- Spiff, Dull

Normal Effects
- Add text...
This is another feature aimed primarily at webmasters who deal with a lot of photos.
It can add text to multiple images using any color or font, in either the
center, top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right edges of the image.
Before applying this effect make sure that the text color will be visible
on all the destination images. For example, just because white text is
visible on your dark nightime clubbing shots doesn't mean it will be visible
against a white indoors wall.
The Add text dialog
- Add border...
Adds a border around the image. You can select the colors to use, the
frame width, and 4 different styles: Solid, Beveled, Liquid, and
Round Corners.

- Spread
Spreads and displaces the pixels by a specified amount.
- Shade
Emulates shading by a distant light source.
Special Effects
- Solarize
Produces an effect seen when exposing photographic file to light
during the development process.
- Swirl
Swirls the pixles in an image.
- Implode

- Oil Paint
Produces an oil painting effect.
- Charcoal Draw
Produces a charcoal or chalk effect.
Interactive Preview Mode
Once you have selected the effect and supplied any parameters it may
need you will be presented with a dialog box asking if you wish to preview
effects before applying them. If you select "Yes" you will get to preview
the effect for each image and select if to accept it, skip it, or cancel
all the pending effects. Otherwise PixiePlus will use non-interactive mode
and you will just get a progress indicator and a cancel button.
